What the desk does

The desk behind Platform Facts India measures one thing: rows published by SEBI and the RBI. A row is taken from a named public source and republished with the date and the hour it was read. A row is a regulator's act, not our judgment. This means the desk does not interpret a figure, add a finding, or guess what a regulator meant. It reads the source, records the row, and shows the date and hour so a reader can check the figure at its publisher.

The sources are named under every table, with a link. The desk reads these sources regularly and answers messages sent to the contact address. The desk is an independent editorial desk. It is not a broker, not an exchange, not a licensed adviser, and it holds no client money. Nothing on the site is investment advice, a recommendation or an offer. The figures describe what things cost, not what a reader should do.

What is worth writing about

A reader should write when a figure looks wrong. If a row on this site does not match what SEBI or the RBI published, the desk wants to know. A reader should also write if a source has moved or closed, because a link or a table may need to be updated. Another reason to write is a question about how the measurement is taken: which source was read, at what time, and how the row was copied. The desk will explain its method and point to the source.

A correction is worth writing about. If a figure is wrong, the desk will correct it and date the correction. The correction will be shown on the page where the figure appears. The desk does not promise a speed for corrections, because checking a figure against the source can take time. The desk will not claim a correction is made within a fixed period. It will say only that a correction is made and dated.

What happens to a correction

When a reader writes that a figure is wrong, the desk checks the figure against the named source. If the figure is wrong, the desk corrects it and adds the date of the correction. The correction is shown on the page where the figure appears, so a reader can see what changed and when. The desk does not remove the old figure silently. It marks the change with a date.

If the figure is not wrong, the desk will say so and explain how the figure was taken from the source. The desk will not argue a reader's interpretation of a figure, because the desk does not interpret figures. It will only check the row against the source. A reader who believes the source itself is wrong should write to the source, not to this desk. This desk cannot change what SEBI or the RBI published.

What the desk cannot answer

The desk cannot answer personal investment advice. It will not tell a reader whether to buy, sell, or hold anything. The desk cannot help with a broker's account. It cannot open, close, or change an account, and it cannot see a reader's own bank or broker screens. The desk cannot act on tips. A tip about a market move is not a figure that can be checked against a public source, so the desk will not publish it.

The desk is funded by an affiliate link to one broker, FxPro. If a reader opens an account there, the site is paid a commission. The reader pays nothing to this site and nothing extra at the broker. The broker's own site is operated by someone else, under its own terms and its own privacy policy, and following the link leaves this site. This is stated plainly. The desk has no accounts, no login, no newsletter and no comment form. It sets no cookie of its own, runs no analytics and stores nothing in the reader's browser. The pages are served by a hosting provider which, like any web host, keeps its own technical request logs; the site's publisher does not read a reader's personal data out of them.
